We love them, so we hope you do as well. Baby bats, called pups, are born without hair. They grow up fast, and after just a month old are ready to hunt. Bats help control the insect population, and one bat can eat between 600 and 1000 mosquitoes in just one hour.
Most people think bats carry rabies, but only 1/2 of 1% actually carry the rabies virus. Bats are not blind and can see better than a human can at night, but primarily use echolocation to navigate. In short, bats are totally awesomelycute!
