Stevie is a blind cat who was adopted from an animal shelter in Cork, Ireland. Despite her blindness, Stevie never lost her curiosity about the world around her. When her new owner, Patrick Corr, noticed her curious nature, he started taking Stevie on hiking trips, exploring the Irish countryside and surrounding mountains together.
“When we go hiking together, she usually prefers to explore all by herself and follows my sounds but she also walks alongside me on a leash or balances on my shoulders with ease!” Patrick writes.
At times, she is allowed to explore the terrain without a leash while Patrick remains within visible distance.
Her tenacious spirit and love for life inspires Patrick every day. Patrick is now planning their next outdoor challenge which will also raise funds for animal charity by climbing Carrauntoohil – Ireland’s highest mountain. You can help up by going to his charity page at: Gofundme.com.
