Meet Cheers, she is a puppy whose collar was kept so tight that eventually her head swelled so bad that it almost doubled in size. The tight collar did not allow for proper breathing and circulation, hence the swollen face.
When two Samaritans came across the puppy they were in shock, but could not quite figure out what was wrong with the puppy until they looked closely and spotted the tiny collar.
The puppy was eventually taken to Fulton County Animal Services, treated and released to Second Rescue NYC Dogs for further care. Cheers miraculously recovered from this horrific abuse and is being cared for until she is placed in a loving home.
